The Pillar of God

Helllowwww guys! Today I just want to share a bit of my beautiful experiences with God. Have you ever felt that you are lucky for an occasion? Saved from an accident or a war? But how if you experienced it for three times? Is it just a coincidence? It is indeed when you know that God has really saved you and protected you. I experienced them few weeks ago.

Exodus 14:19-20 (NKJV) – “19And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went for, before them and stood behind them. 20So it came between the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did nor come near the other all that night.”

Exactly 3 weeks ago, I was fortunate to have a chance to have a holy escapade to Israel. My journey began with a stay at Egypt, and then continued with Israel, Palestine, and Jordanian. The whole experience was awesome and breathtaking. But today I’m not talking about the trip itself. It is about God’s protection.

I began my trip in Egypt with the Indonesian Tour. I am glad until now that I visited that country. I got a chance to see the pyramid with my own naked eyes and hike the mount Sinai with my own foot. From Egypt, we moved to Israel for the next schedule. One day after I left Egypt, I heard the news that Egypt was in chaos. Even until now it was no better and is getting worse and worse. It was one of my luckiest moments. If I am one day late, I might not be able to cross the border to Israel and get stuck in the chaos.

At first I thought that experience as coincidence, but it is not coincidence if it occurs more than once. Rite? On the trip final stop, I visited Jordanian for one day before I flew back to Jakarta. Then I flew back to Jakarta after the wonderful 9-days trip around the Middle East. When I arrived at Jakarta on the next day, I heard the news that Jordanian was in chaos as well, and it started FEW HOURS after I flew back to Indonesia. I was stunned and start to realize how great is our God! He blinded the eye of the people at Egypt and Jordanian not to start their massive riots while the whole tour group was there. Same as the pillar of cloud of God, we are protected from the chaos!

One week after the trip was Chinese New Year and I flew back to Juwana at Central Java to celebrate the festive season at my grandma house. It was wonderful and I got a lot of angpaos (the only day where children can amusingly gain a lot of revenue by just saying Gong Xi Fat Choi) ;p!! hehehhe. It was a memorable event and after that I flew back to Jakarta from Semarang. (Juwana is 3 hours drive from Semarang). To my amazement again, the next day I heard the news that the roadway that connecting one of the only road from Juwana to Semarang was flooded severely and none of the small car can pass it. I wonder if that flood happened on the day when we want to go back to Jakarta, I will not be able to go back!! So again, God really protects me.

So what’s the lesson here?

Trust God with all your life, just surrender to Him everything that you have, including your life and your future. Nothing is a coincidence in our life, it’s all His works. Thank Him for all things that happen in your life, it is a process to make you nearer to Him, to love Him. That’s all my testimony, let it be a revelation of God’s love to all of you.

Exodus 14:13-14 (NKJV)- “13Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see no more forever. 14The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

Be blessed guys,

Auf wiedersehen ;)

The Blue Lemon Squash from 40000 Feet Above the Sea Level

Hi guys, I guess you all are wondering about the title. Today is 21st Jan 2011 and yes, currently I’m writing this post 40000 feet above Colombo, on my way to Cairo. The current speed of this aircraft is 850 km/h and the temperature outside is -56 Degree Celcius!! That’s pretty amazing and terrifying actually :p. Anyway, it is a great experience to write a post while I was sitting down (and getting bored) for another 5 hours above the sky here before I reach Abu Dhabi and transit into another flight to Cairo. Anyway, let’s go back to our main dish here, the Blue Lemon squash.

Few weeks ago, I was having a meal at a famous restaurant in Jakarta, and they have a special menu for their beverages!! I ordered their special beverage, the Blue Lemon Squash. I didn’t understand on what’s so special about that drink until it was served in front of my eyeballs!! It was seriously a beauty of cuisine! You could see the color transition of the drink. The bottom of it was sunny sunshine yellow, and it changed to transparent and to bluish ocean as it goes upward. I quickly grasped that drink and started drinking it. Out of nowhere, it didn’t taste that good. It was too sweet, yet I continued drinking it, and from too sweet, it changed into ‘no taste’. Yeahh, I finished the drink yet I didn’t feel satisfied and felt so cheated. I told my friend who was with me there about how bad that drink was, yet he laughed. He told me that I forgot to MIX it well FIRST BEFORE I drank it. That’s the reason why my lemon squash did not taste good, yet disastrous. Do you get what I mean here? :)

We often asked a very big or ‘special’ request to Jesus through prayer, yet we think that what He gave is always not the same as what we want or need! Have you ever wandered why it happened? Two common reasons will be that it is not what you need on that time, or it is not the right time yet for Him to give it. Is that all? There is one OTHER POSSIBLE ANSWER. Let me tweak your mind with this ‘lemon squash’ analogy :p. It might not that Jesus didn’t answer your prayer, it is just that you FORGET to mix the ‘lemon squash’ BEFORE you DRINK IT. We know that He always answers our prayer, yet often we stay inactive and try just to receive His ‘lemon squash’ blindly and drink it right away. It is wrong!! You need to BE ACTIVE and MIX the lemon squash. He NEEDS your ACTION!! Without your action, it is logical that your ‘drink’ will taste ‘too sweet’ at the bottom and ‘too sour’ on top. I don’t know what you are praying or requesting for, my suggestion is just that be responsive and stay ACTIVE.

MIX IT WELL :p.

Be blessed, Auf wiedersehen

The Highway

More than three times a week I always pass this highway to Jakarta from my lovely city of BSD. It was nothing special, just a highway. Yet on that faithful day I received a beautiful revelation from Him again. I was sitting on the back and starring on the highway, literary the grey aged road which is amazingly still remain intact without blemish, unlike other Jakarta’s roads. Here is the thing.

Many people often say that there are many ways to Rome. I indeed believe that there are many ways to reach a destination, yet many think that these roads must be different roads and directions. Have you ever though that these roads might have the same direction and distance? They are just put side by side like a highway. The difference s just that there is the fast lane in the rightmost side, normal lane in the middle, and the slowest lane in the leftmost side.

These lanes are directed toward one destination. Yet cars must be driven with different speed. In our life often we are directed into the same destination with your friend, yet your friend or mate seems to move faster than you. Do not worry. You are still reaching that destination, just with a different speed.

But does it stop here? No, a highway allows you to move to another lane to speed up or to slow down. In life, God has planned great destination for our life. It is up to our choice whether we want to speed up or slow down. It depends on your attitude and capability. Some people prefer to move in a slower pace, some love the higher pace, and some enjoy the normal pace. He let it to our own decision. When you feel that the fast lane is too dangerous and full of concentrations, you can move to the normal or slow lane. Don’t worry, you are still on the track, you are still in the highway!! :D

After talking all these things, there is one more important thing to be noted. In any lane, sometimes there is a car moving slower than your car pace in your chosen lane, and the car is just in front of your car! In this momentous moment, you need braveryto move your car to the other lane in order to take over that car and move back to your lane. Get what I mean? In life, after you chose your own lane, there is a possibility that there is something that hinders your speed and growth. If you are not brave to speed up and temporarily move to the faster lane, you will be slowed down. So, be brave!! You only need to speed up a bit and move to the other line to take over that hindrance, and move back to your own lane, and back to your own preferred speed. It is great right? :DD!!

Psalm 32: 8 (NKJV) - “ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My eye.”

So, everything is your own choice! He has set your destination. Enjoy your drive ;)! !

God bless

Kissing the Ducks

Have you ever heard the story of “The princess and the frog”? I bet you have heard that fairly tales. Many girls (and some guys) are dreaming for it to be a reality. Imagine if you kiss a frog and it turns into Anna Hathaway, what a miracle XD!! Even I want it so eagerly!! Hahaha

(the one!! XD!!! berjambul ;p)

Seeing the title, you might be wondering, “why I changed it into ducks?” There are two reasons. Firstly yesterday I was talking to a friend who is longed to find her own so called “Donald duck” ;p!! and secondly I have 5 ducks on my garden. Funny reasons, yet simply that’s the trademark of this story, ducks. Kwekkk kwekkk!! Yeahh!! I think it is more fun to change it into duck (at least it is less yucky than frog ;p).

Let’s start by explaining a bit my own version of the fairy tales. Long long time ago, in a country far far away from the “macetttt” of Jakarta, there is one princess who was revealed by a famous magician that she would find a handsome prince, yet that prince was cursed and transformed into a duck by a wicked witch. Henceforth, from that day onward, that beautiful princess started to kiss all ducks that she saw on her journey. Until one day she kissed a faithful duck, and it turned into a gorgeously handsome prince!! And they lived happily ever after. (hate this fairly tales). Hahaha tht’s my version.

Once I was inspired by this story to kiss an animal, thinking of a magical chance that it will turn into at least a beautiful woman like Emma Watson (my favourite actress :p). My bravery to kiss my own rabbit turned out to be a very momentous yet haunting memory. hahaha that fairly tale is a MYTH!! Don’t try that at home (like me), okay guys!!!!!

Yet I want to extricate an essence from this fairly tales that I found amusing. Did you realize, without the presence of the princess, that duck would never ever turn into a prince? Without her attitude and bravery to kiss the horrible creature, it will never ever turn into a prince. I found it to be a great theory of relationship. (stay tune, it’s changing from a lame jokes into serious stuff ;p).

In life whether you are a man or a woman, you are often looking for the right relationship and you start it by looking at what you can see in front of you. You are looking for his/her appearance first. He/She might not look as bad as a duck, What I mean as a ‘duck’ here is imperfection. Once you see that imperfection, you walked away and afraid to communicate or even to know him/her as at least friend. You are afraid to ‘kiss’ the duck (not literally kissing okay).

All of us believe that God has created a woman/man for our life. All of us are longing for the one that is right for us. But we will never find him/her if we never try to ‘kiss’ the ducks. The first duck you ‘kiss’ might not turn into a prince, but keep trying. Hey, you are the key! Without you, the prince will never transform back into a handsome prince, he will remain as an ugly duck!! Only the right princess can transform back the right duck. Remember, only you can extricate all potential inside of the ‘duck’ to transform it to the perfect one that you imagined upon.

If you remember the fairy tale above, the princess gives the same kiss to all the ducks. So how is the “kiss” here? It is keeping up with the best attitude constantly. The princess will never find the cursed prince if she does not give ‘the full kiss” to all the ducks. The curse can only be broken by the perfect kiss. If you want to find one, give your best, pure try for each chance.

So lastly, what is the “kiss”? I leave it to any single one of you. The way might be different for all of you, yet the attitude is the same. Put the best and the purest attitude that you have. You might have “kissed” 10 ducks, but don’t give up, the next might be the one.

1 Peter 5:6,7

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.”

God has created the right duck for you. Remember, the duck is waiting for you.You only need to be ready with the best attitude that you have. Kwekkk!!! :p

(ps: this theory can be applied for business and any aspect of life, not just merely about relationship ;p)

The Shining Analogy

Hi guys, it has been 2 weeks since my last post. I know that I owe you guys with the second part of my ‘clay relationship’ and ‘singapore life story’, but I think this post is more interesting than those two. I was so excited when I was given with this Thought by Him after my morning devotion in my lovely room in Indonesia. So stay focus guys. It’s going to be a great post. But before, let me start with a small dedication as usual. :) I would like to dedicate this post to my really best best best friend who gave me the Holy Notes. I’ll keep it forever, I promise. :p, so making things short, let’s start this post. Here it goes:

Matthew 5:16
(NKJV) 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

This passage must be very familiar with all of us right? And yes, it is our responsibility to shine in the marketplace as Christians. But that morning when I read this passage, God brought me into focus to two words from that verse, which are ‘So Shine’. Inside my head, I’m asking myself ‘why God asked us to shine so bright in darkness? Will bright and brighter light make a difference in a darkness?’. I was thinking very hard as my eyes was starring directly at a very bright lamp on my room. When I moved my eyes from starring the lamp (Changing my focus) to the other part of the room, I still can see a blind spot in the form of roundness of the lamp in front of me. And at that point of time I almost cry very bad. I understand what God wanted me to know. Here is the amusing part.

When we stare at the extra bright shining sun and move our focus to other things, we are left with a blind spot in the shape of the sun. That’s what it means to be shining ‘so shine’. God does not ask us just to be shining as to be big or famous ONLY. He asked us to leave a significant mark to those who see us in the marketplace. When people see us shining so bright, then moved their focus away after it, the blind spot in the ‘shape of us’ is marked on their ‘vision’. Get what I mean? God wants us to SHINE and bring IMPACT to the life of others.

But does ot stop there? No is the only answer. If you realize, after a period of time, the blind spot, that was created due to direct view to the sun, will disappear gradually. It means YOU NEED TO SHINE SO BRIGHT FOREVER. They need the exposure continuously from us.

So, that’s all that God revealed this time round to me. Last but not least, let us shine for Christ but always remember that we need to shine soo brightt and bring that IMPACT to the vision of others. That’s the real shine that God wants us to understand.

God bless,
