Exodus 14:19-20 (NKJV) – “19And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went for, before them and stood behind them. 20So it came between the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did nor come near the other all that night.”

Exactly 3 weeks ago, I was fortunate to have a chance to have a holy escapade to Israel. My journey began with a stay at Egypt, and then continued with Israel, Palestine, and Jordanian. The whole experience was awesome and breathtaking. But today I’m not talking about the trip itself. It is about God’s protection.
I began my trip in Egypt with the Indonesian Tour. I am glad until now that I visited that country. I got a chance to see the pyramid with my own naked eyes and hike the mount Sinai with my own foot. From Egypt, we moved to Israel for the next schedule. One day after I left Egypt, I heard the news that Egypt was in chaos. Even until now it was no better and is getting worse and worse. It was one of my luckiest moments. If I am one day late, I might not be able to cross the border to Israel and get stuck in the chaos.
At first I thought that experience as coincidence, but it is not coincidence if it occurs more than once. Rite? On the trip final stop, I visited Jordanian for one day before I flew back to Jakarta. Then I flew back to Jakarta after the wonderful 9-days trip around the Middle East. When I arrived at Jakarta on the next day, I heard the news that Jordanian was in chaos as well, and it started FEW HOURS after I flew back to Indonesia. I was stunned and start to realize how great is our God! He blinded the eye of the people at Egypt and Jordanian not to start their massive riots while the whole tour group was there. Same as the pillar of cloud of God, we are protected from the chaos!
One week after the trip was Chinese New Year and I flew back to Juwana at Central Java to celebrate the festive season at my grandma house. It was wonderful and I got a lot of angpaos (the only day where children can amusingly gain a lot of revenue by just saying Gong Xi Fat Choi) ;p!! hehehhe. It was a memorable event and after that I flew back to Jakarta from Semarang. (Juwana is 3 hours drive from Semarang). To my amazement again, the next day I heard the news that the roadway that connecting one of the only road from Juwana to Semarang was flooded severely and none of the small car can pass it. I wonder if that flood happened on the day when we want to go back to Jakarta, I will not be able to go back!! So again, God really protects me.
So what’s the lesson here?
Trust God with all your life, just surrender to Him everything that you have, including your life and your future. Nothing is a coincidence in our life, it’s all His works. Thank Him for all things that happen in your life, it is a process to make you nearer to Him, to love Him. That’s all my testimony, let it be a revelation of God’s love to all of you.
Exodus 14:13-14 (NKJV)- “13Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see no more forever. 14The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
Be blessed guys,
Auf wiedersehen ;)
