Hi guys, it has been 2 weeks since my last post. I know that I owe you guys with the second part of my ‘clay relationship’ and ‘singapore life story’, but I think this post is more interesting than those two. I was so excited when I was given with this Thought by Him after my morning devotion in my lovely room in Indonesia. So stay focus guys. It’s going to be a great post. But before, let me start with a small dedication as usual. :) I would like to dedicate this post to my really best best best friend who gave me the Holy Notes. I’ll keep it forever, I promise. :p, so making things short, let’s start this post. Here it goes:
Matthew 5:16
(NKJV) 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
This passage must be very familiar with all of us right? And yes, it is our responsibility to shine in the marketplace as Christians. But that morning when I read this passage, God brought me into focus to two words from that verse, which are ‘So Shine’. Inside my head, I’m asking myself ‘why God asked us to shine so bright in darkness? Will bright and brighter light make a difference in a darkness?’. I was thinking very hard as my eyes was starring directly at a very bright lamp on my room. When I moved my eyes from starring the lamp (Changing my focus) to the other part of the room, I still can see a blind spot in the form of roundness of the lamp in front of me. And at that point of time I almost cry very bad. I understand what God wanted me to know. Here is the amusing part.
When we stare at the extra bright shining sun and move our focus to other things, we are left with a blind spot in the shape of the sun. That’s what it means to be shining ‘so shine’. God does not ask us just to be shining as to be big or famous ONLY. He asked us to leave a significant mark to those who see us in the marketplace. When people see us shining so bright, then moved their focus away after it, the blind spot in the ‘shape of us’ is marked on their ‘vision’. Get what I mean? God wants us to SHINE and bring IMPACT to the life of others.
But does ot stop there? No is the only answer. If you realize, after a period of time, the blind spot, that was created due to direct view to the sun, will disappear gradually. It means YOU NEED TO SHINE SO BRIGHT FOREVER. They need the exposure continuously from us.
So, that’s all that God revealed this time round to me. Last but not least, let us shine for Christ but always remember that we need to shine soo brightt and bring that IMPACT to the vision of others. That’s the real shine that God wants us to understand.
God bless,
Auf Wiedersehen
