Hi guys, I guess you all are wondering about the title. Today is 21st Jan 2011 and yes, currently I’m writing this post 40000 feet above Colombo, on my way to Cairo. The current speed of this aircraft is 850 km/h and the temperature outside is -56 Degree Celcius!! That’s pretty amazing and terrifying actually :p. Anyway, it is a great experience to write a post while I was sitting down (and getting bored) for another 5 hours above the sky here before I reach Abu Dhabi and transit into another flight to Cairo. Anyway, let’s go back to our main dish here, the Blue Lemon squash.
Few weeks ago, I was having a meal at a famous restaurant in Jakarta, and they have a special menu for their beverages!! I ordered their special beverage, the Blue Lemon Squash. I didn’t understand on what’s so special about that drink until it was served in front of my eyeballs!! It was seriously a beauty of cuisine! You could see the color transition of the drink. The bottom of it was sunny sunshine yellow, and it changed to transparent and to bluish ocean as it goes upward. I quickly grasped that drink and started drinking it. Out of nowhere, it didn’t taste that good. It was too sweet, yet I continued drinking it, and from too sweet, it changed into ‘no taste’. Yeahh, I finished the drink yet I didn’t feel satisfied and felt so cheated. I told my friend who was with me there about how bad that drink was, yet he laughed. He told me that I forgot to MIX it well FIRST BEFORE I drank it. That’s the reason why my lemon squash did not taste good, yet disastrous. Do you get what I mean here? :)
We often asked a very big or ‘special’ request to Jesus through prayer, yet we think that what He gave is always not the same as what we want or need! Have you ever wandered why it happened? Two common reasons will be that it is not what you need on that time, or it is not the right time yet for Him to give it. Is that all? There is one OTHER POSSIBLE ANSWER. Let me tweak your mind with this ‘lemon squash’ analogy :p. It might not that Jesus didn’t answer your prayer, it is just that you FORGET to mix the ‘lemon squash’ BEFORE you DRINK IT. We know that He always answers our prayer, yet often we stay inactive and try just to receive His ‘lemon squash’ blindly and drink it right away. It is wrong!! You need to BE ACTIVE and MIX the lemon squash. He NEEDS your ACTION!! Without your action, it is logical that your ‘drink’ will taste ‘too sweet’ at the bottom and ‘too sour’ on top. I don’t know what you are praying or requesting for, my suggestion is just that be responsive and stay ACTIVE.
MIX IT WELL :p.
Be blessed, Auf wiedersehen
